Leave accrual methods explained

When creating a new leave type, you will need to specify the leave accrual method; that is how this particular leave type accrues hours available to be taken.

Worktime Leave: The leave will accrue based on the hours the employee works, eg for every 1 hour an employee works, they accrue 0.07692 hours annual leave.


Standard Time Leave: The leave will accrue the same amount per week irrespective of how much they actually worked, usually assigned to salaried employees.


Banked Leave: The leave will accrue based on the hours the employee works, much like the worktime leave, however the gross and net pay is reduced to pay for the accrual. If you attach an employee to this type of leave, you will need to define their banked leave setup in the employee details screen.


No Accrual Leave: The leave will not accrue any hours.
